Heritage Round 2026: Eagles Celebrate 40 Years of Premiership History

Heritage Round 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most significant occasions in the Gungahlin Eagles’ calendar this year. On Saturday 11 July, the Eagles host Wests at Nicholls Oval in Round 13 of the 2026 BentSpoke John I Dent Cup, and the day carries a meaning that goes well beyond the result on the field.

A MILESTONE WORTH CELEBRATING

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Gungahlin Eagles’ 1986 1st Grade and 3rd Grade Premiership teams. Heritage Round 2026 is the club’s way of honouring those teams, the players who were part of them, and the foundation they laid for everything the Eagles have built since.

THE 2026 HERITAGE DAY JERSEY

To mark the occasion, the Eagles are releasing a special 2026 Heritage Day Jersey, a tribute to the iconic strip worn by those premiership sides. The jersey is available in short or long sleeve, with your name and number printed on the back.

Every donor to the Eagles Old Boys (EOB’s) Foundation who makes a minimum contribution of $250 will receive one of these jerseys. Your name will also be printed on the actual playing jersey worn on the day, a permanent part of Heritage Round history.
Contributions to the EOB’s Foundation are tax deductible and directly support the Eagles Academy, helping to secure the future of the club for the next generation.

Regular donors to the EOB’s Foundation will receive a Heritage Jersey automatically.

HOW TO GET YOURS

Foundation contributions must be made by Thursday 4 June. To secure your jersey, email your details, size, short or long sleeve, name, and number to oge@gungahlineagles.com.au.
