ABOUT JUNIORS

The Eagles Juniors are the beating heart of junior rugby union in the Gungahlin community, and we’re thrilled to welcome players of all ages and abilities from under U8s to under 18s. Our club is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our families, while also promoting and developing the game of rugby with the health and safety of our players as our utmost priority.

The Eagles junior teams compete in the ACTJRU (Australian Capital Territory Junior Rugby Union) competition, which includes clubs and schools from across the ACT and Southern NSW region. This provides our players with the opportunity to test their skills against a diverse range of opponents and to experience the excitement and camaraderie of competitive rugby.

We’re a vibrant and dynamic community club, deeply rooted in the Gungahlin area. Our primary goal is to foster a love for the game of rugby union among young players, while also instilling values such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. We believe that rugby is more than just a game; it’s a way of life that teaches important life skills and builds character.

At the Eagles Juniors, we believe in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every player feels valued and supported. We encourage players to strive for excellence both on and off the field, and we celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small. Our coaching staff is committed to developing each player’s skills and abilities, while also ensuring their enjoyment and love for the game.

Coaches and volunteers

As a community club, the Eagles Juniors rely heavily on the support and involvement of our families. We’re incredibly grateful to the many volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to help us run the club smoothly. There are numerous roles that need to be filled, including coaching, team management, first aid, and field marshal duties on match days.
