WHEN THE CLUB CALLS, GIMPSEY ANSWERS
With a shortage of front rowers for the trip to Goulburn, James McGimpsey did what a true club man does, he put his hand up.
Gimpy was on his way to Sydney with the family when the call came in. Without hesitation he made the detour, pulled on the jersey, got the job done for the team, and then jumped back in the car and continued on his way.
No fuss. No complaint. Just a bloke who loves his club and does what is needed.
OLD SCHOOL, NO FUSS
There is a certain type of player that every club needs and James McGimpsey is exactly that. An old school front rower who turns up, works hard, and gets on with it. He didn’t need to be there on Saturday, but he was. And that made the difference for the team.
That kind of availability and attitude is what the Eagles family is built on.
