ROUND 7 RESULTS — GUNGAHLIN EAGLES VS GOULBURN RUGBY UNION
The Eagles made the trip to Simon Poidevin Rugby Park in Goulburn on Saturday 23 May for Round 7, with the 3rd Grade and 4th Grade both in action while 1st Grade, Women, 2nd Grade, and Colts had a bye. Both sides returned with wins.
3RD GRADE: EAGLES 31 – GOULBURN 20
The 3rd Grade got the job done in Goulburn, winning 31–20 in a Brumbies Shield fixture. A solid performance away from home and a result that will give the group confidence heading into the back half of the season.
4TH GRADE: EAGLES 33 – GOULBURN 26
The 4th Grade continued their strong 2026 run with a 33–26 win over Goulburn, making it three wins from their last four games. Another competitive contest decided by seven points, and another example of this group’s ability to get the job done when it matters.
BYE: 1ST GRADE, WOMEN, 2ND GRADE, COLTS
The remaining grades had a well-earned bye this round and will return to action in Round 8.
LOOKING AHEAD
Two wins from two on the road in Goulburn is a good day’s work. The 3rd and 4th Grade sides both continue to build form at the right time of the season, and the bye gives the other grades a chance to rest and regroup before Round 8.
