ROUND 16 RESULTS — GUNGAHLIN EAGLES VS UNI NORTH OWLS
A day of fine margins on the road at ANU Oval as the Eagles took on Uni-Norths Owls in Round 16 of the 2026 BentSpoke John I Dent Cup. The 2nd Grade fought out a rare 21–21 draw, while the 1st Grade fell agonisingly short, going down 27–26. The 3rd Grade and 4th Grade had the bye this round.

1ST GRADE — EAGLES 26, OWLS 27
A heartbreaker for the 1st Grade at ANU Oval, going down 27–26 in a match decided by the barest of margins. The Eagles threw everything at the Owls in the closing stages but couldn’t quite find the score that would have snatched the win. Full credit to the group for the fight shown right to the final whistle.
2ND GRADE — EAGLES 21, OWLS 21
The 2nd Grade shared the points in a 21–21 draw with the Owls, in a match that had everything but a winner. Honours even after both sides traded the lead throughout — a fair result on a tough day at ANU Oval.
COLTS — EAGLES 26, OWLS 21
The Colts got the job done on the road, running out 26–21 winners over the Owls at ANU Oval. A gritty performance from the young Eagles to see out a tight contest.
WOMEN — EAGLES 27, OWLS 17
The Women were full value for a 27–17 win over the Owls at ANU Oval. A strong all-round performance saw the Eagles control large stretches of the game — another solid result to build on this season.
