FINN BAXTER — MEN’S PLAYER OF THE DAY
Finn Baxter’s Player of the Day award is a reflection of everything a front rower should be — relentless, physical, and committed from first minute to last.
His work rate around the field against the Owls was outstanding throughout. Carrying the ball, cleaning out rucks, making crucial defensive efforts — Finn was consistently putting himself in the contest and making a positive impact in every phase of the game. His energy never wavered and his commitment to the cause was evident in everything he did.
What elevated Finn’s performance beyond the physical contribution was the leadership he displayed throughout the match. He set the standard for his teammates through his actions, his communication, and his determination. He led from the front when it mattered most and played a key role in the team’s performance across the 80 minutes.
A deserving recipient of this week’s award. Well done Finn.
SIUTITI MAAKE — PREMIER WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE DAY
On the final round game of what has been a fantastic 2026 season for the Eagles Premier Women, Siutiti Maake saved her best for last.
Against a tough Owls side, Titi stood up and delivered a performance that encapsulated everything she brings to this group. Dominant in both attack and defence, she saved crucial tries, led the charge throughout, and inspired her teammates from the first whistle to the last.
Making the performance even more meaningful is the context — this was the girls’ final regular season game. To finish it with a performance of that quality, on a day that carried genuine emotional weight for the whole squad, speaks volumes about Siutiti’s character and competitive drive.
