ROUND 15 RESULTS — GUNGAHLIN EAGLES VS CANBERRA ROYALS
A big day at The Nest on Saturday as the Eagles hosted the Canberra Royals in Round 15 of the 2026 BentSpoke John I Dent Cup. The standout result of the day came from the Premier Women, who put on a stunning 84–10 performance to demolish the Royals.
Here’s how the grades finished.
1ST GRADE — EAGLES 31, ROYALS 33
A heartbreaker for the 1st Grade at The Nest, going down 33–31 in a match that could have gone either way. Plenty of quality on display from the Eagles, but the Royals found just enough to get over the line. A tough one to swallow, but the signs are there heading into the run home.
2ND GRADE — EAGLES 34, ROYALS 7
The 2nd Grade were dominant from start to finish, running out 34–7 winners over the Royals at The Nest. A complete performance up front and out wide, and a great platform to build on heading into Round 16.
3RD GRADE — EAGLES 33, ROYALS 29
A tight arm-wrestle for the 3rd Grade, who held on for a 33–29 win over the Royals at The Nest. Composure in the closing stages made the difference against a Canberra side that never let up.
4TH GRADE — EAGLES 24, ROYALS 47
A tough afternoon for the 4th Grade, beaten 47–24 by the Royals. Some good moments in patches, but the Eagles couldn’t contain a strong Canberra outfit on the day.
PREMIER WOMEN — EAGLES 84, ROYALS 10
The standout performance of the round came from the Premier Women, who put on a ruthless display in an 84–10 demolition of the Royals at The Nest. A dominant showing from start to finish, and another huge statement in what continues to be an outstanding 2026 campaign for the women’s group.
