ROUND 9 RESULTS — GUNGAHLIN EAGLES VS UNI-NORTH OWLS | LADIES DAY
What a day at The Nest. Round 9 on Saturday 13 June brought together great rugby and a brilliant Ladies Day celebration at Nicholls Oval. Four wins from six grades in action, a packed sideline, and an atmosphere that reminded everyone why this club is special. Thank you to everyone who came out and made Ladies Day such a memorable occasion, it couldn’t happen without you.
Here’s how every grade finished.
1ST GRADE — EAGLES 28, OWLS 22
A solid 28–22 win for the 1st Grade, continuing their strong recent form at The Nest. The Eagles controlled the contest well and had enough to see it out comfortably in the end.
2ND GRADE — EAGLES 24, OWLS 31
A tough afternoon for the 2s, going down 31–24 to a strong Owls outfit. The Eagles were competitive throughout and will take the fight shown into next week’s preparation.
PREMIER WOMEN — EAGLES 39, OWLS 15
The Premier Women delivered one of the performances of the day, running out 39–15 winners in front of a big Ladies Day crowd. A dominant display and another strong result in what has been an outstanding 2026 campaign for the women’s group.
COLTS — EAGLES 38, OWLS 29
The Colts kept their strong season going with a 38–29 win over the Owls, another positive result for a group that continues to build as the season progresses.
3RD GRADE — EAGLES 10, OWLS 66
A tough day for the 3rd Grade, going down 66–10 against a strong Owls side. The boys will regroup and come out ready for next week.
4TH GRADE — EAGLES 27, OWLS 20
The 4th Grade continued their excellent form with a 27–20 win over the Owls. Another competitive, hard-fought result from a group that has been one of the consistent performers for the Eagles throughout the 2026 season.
LADIES DAY
To everyone who contributed to making Ladies Day 2026 such a success, thank you. The players, the volunteers, the organisers, the sponsors, and every person who came through the gates on Saturday. This club runs on the effort of its community and Saturday was a perfect example of that.
