Heritage Round is almost here. One of the most special days on the Gungahlin Eagles calendar arrives this Saturday 11 July at The Nest, as the Eagles host Wests in Round 13 of the 2026 BentSpoke John I Dent Cup. Five grades in action, please note the Colts have a bye this round.

Here’s how the day shapes up on Saturday 11 July at Nicholls Oval. 4th Grade open the day at 10:55AM on Field 2, followed by 3rd Grade at 12:15PM on Field 2. Women and 2nd Grade both kick off at 1:40PM on Field 2 and Field 1 respectively, and 1st Grade close out the day at 3:05PM on Field 1.

2026 HERITAGE DAY 1ST GRADE JERSEY AUCTION

As part of our Heritage Round celebrations, we are proud to present the auction of our 2026 1st Grade Heritage Jersey, a special opportunity to own a piece of Eagles history.

These are the jerseys our 1st Grade team will wear into battle on Saturday. They represent more than a match-day uniform. They honour the players, volunteers, supporters, and families who have built this club into what it is today, inspired by the traditions and achievements of generations of Eagles, and carrying the spirit of those who wore the Old Gold before us.
All proceeds from the auction will support the continued growth and success of the club, ensuring the legacy of the Eagles remains strong for future generations.

Here’s how the auction works. Jerseys are available now to bid for via silent and online auction, scan the QR code or visit the link below to place your bid. The highest online bid for each jersey will then become the opening bid for a live auction during the after-match function at The Gungahlin Lakes. Successful bidders will be able to wear and take home their jersey on the night, cleaned and ready to go.

DON’T FORGET, OLD BOYS LUNCHEON

Heritage Round also means the Eagles 100 Club and 1986 Reunion Luncheon is happening the day before — Friday 10 July at the Rex Hotel, Canberra, from 12:30PM to 4:30PM. This is a ticketed event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Eagles’ 1986 1st Grade and 3rd Grade Premiership teams. Tickets are $100 per person and are available now.
