Congratulations to Jackie Paki, who becomes the first woman in Gungahlin Eagles history to play 100 games for the club, and to Kolora Toga, who reaches 50 games. Two milestones. JACKIE PAKI — 100 GAMES | THE FIRST FEMALE CENTURION
There are moments in a club’s history that define who you are. Jackie Paki reaching 100 games for the Gungahlin Eagles on Grand Final day is one of those moments.
Since joining the Eagles in 2018, Jackie has been a constant through so much of the growth and evolution of the women’s program. She has been incredibly versatile throughout — filling gaps all over the field whenever the team needed her, across both 10s and 15s formats. Whatever was required, Jackie delivered.
But her contribution goes far beyond the 100 times she has pulled on the red and black jersey. Jackie is responsible for bringing so many players into the Eagles over the years — players who have gone on to become important parts of the team and club themselves. Her fingerprints are all over the program that exists today.
She has been there through the years of building and strengthening the Eagles Women, and now gets to raise an incredible personal milestone as part of the club’s first ever Premier Women’s Grand Final. To become the first female 100-game player in Gungahlin Eagles history is a massive achievement and a reflection of eight seasons of loyalty, commitment, and doing whatever the team has needed.
The Eagles are so grateful for everything Jackie has given to this club. Congratulations on 100, Jackie.
KOLORA TOGA — 50 GAMES | A STATESWOMAN OF THE EAGLES WOMEN
Fifty games for Kolora Toga on Grand Final day feels like a full circle moment — and a fitting one for a player who has given so much to the Eagles Women over so many years.
A stateswoman of this team, Kolora has seen the program grow into what it is today and has played a meaningful role in shaping it. So many players who have come through the Eagles Women have been blessed to feel the warmth and care she brings to the group. She adds positively to the culture every single day — a vibrant, thoughtful person with the loudest laugh and biggest smile in the building.
On the field, Kolora is damaging and efficient. She knows when to burn her energy and power — and when to hold back until the moment is right. For so long she has been relied on as an enforcer, and with the team’s growing depth she has found a new role coming off the bench to inflict damage late in games. Opposition sides feel her presence every time she takes the field.
The Eagles are so grateful for Kolora’s contribution to this club and this program. Congratulations on 50, Kolora.
