The Gungahlin Eagles Women are the 2026 BentSpoke Premier 15s Champions after defeating Tuggeranong Vikings Eagles 33 – 17 in Saturday’s Grand Final at Viking Park. It’s the club’s first Premier Grand Final title for the Women’s program.
The title caps a dominant campaign. The Eagles finished the regular season with 11 wins from 12 matches to claim the BentSpoke Premier 15s minor premiership, finishing 18 points clear of Tuggeranong Vikings. Gungahlin backed that up with a Qualification Semi Final win, Eagles 45 – 3 over the Vikings, sending the Eagles straight through to Saturday’s decider — the third meeting between the two sides this season.
Grand Final day also carried personal significance for two Eagles players, with Kolora Toga reaching 50 games for the club and Jackie Paki becoming the first woman in Gungahlin Eagles history to play 100 games.
It rounded out a big day for the club, following the Colts’ Grand Final earlier that morning against the same opponent. Celebrations continued at the official post-match function at The Rex Hotel from 5:30pm.
