ROUND 10 RESULTS — GUNGAHLIN EAGLES VS WESTS & GOULBURN RUGBY UNION
A strong day at The Nest on Saturday 20 June, with three wins from five grades in action across two opponents. The 1st Grade, Premier Women, and 2nd Grade all delivered against Wests, while the 3rd and 4th Grade faced Goulburn Rugby Union. It was also a milestone round to remember — four Eagles celebrated significant club game achievements throughout the day.
Here’s how every grade finished.
1ST GRADE — EAGLES 47, WESTS 22
A dominant 47–22 win for the 1st Grade against Wests — their fourth consecutive victory and another commanding performance at The Nest. The Eagles were clinical across the park and the scoreline reflects a well-rounded team effort from first whistle to last.
PREMIER WOMEN — EAGLES 41, WESTS 31
The Premier Women produced another strong result, defeating Wests 41–31 in a high-scoring contest. The Eagles showed composure under pressure to run out comfortable winners and continue what has been an excellent 2026 campaign for the women’s group.
2ND GRADE — EAGLES 36, WESTS 10
An impressive 36–10 win for the 2nd Grade against Wests — their most comprehensive result of the season. The Eagles were in control throughout and the margin reflects the quality of performance across the 80 minutes. A real statement from this group.
3RD GRADE — EAGLES 19, GOULBURN 36
A tough afternoon for the 3rd Grade away against Goulburn, going down 36–19. The Eagles competed hard throughout but couldn’t quite hold off a strong Goulburn side at Nicholls Oval. The group will take the positives and prepare for Round 11.
4TH GRADE — EAGLES 7, GOULBURN 29
A difficult day for the 4th Grade against Goulburn, going down 29–7. After a strong run of form, the boys will be determined to bounce back. Heads up and we go again.
A MILESTONE ROUND
Amid the results, Round 10 was a special occasion for the Eagles community. Nick Ashmore, Fraser Weller, and Thomas Ferguson each reached 50 grade games, while Vinnie Palencia ran out for his 100th. Congratulations again to all four, milestones well and truly earned.
