Everything you need to know as an Eagles player in 2022

Round one is just eight weeks away! If you’re planning on lacing up the boots for the Eagles this year, here is a list of everything you need to know.

Training

Training is Wednesday and Friday evenings at Nicholls Oval right up until Fri 8 April. Training kicks off at 6pm sharp, please aim to be there 15 minutes early.

From 12 April training will return to Tuesday and Thursday nights at Nicholls Oval for the remainder of the season. Sessions will start at 7pm.

Nicholls Oval is on Clarrie Hermes Drive. Click here for Google Maps directions.

The reason for the chopping and changing is due to the primary oval being resurfaced and multiple clubs have to share the facilities.

Registration

Registration is now open via the Rugby Xplorer App. Players, coaches and volunteers who attend training and undertake club duties unregistered do so at their own risk. Registration means you’re insured for injuries.

Despite some financial challenges due to Covid throughout 2021, fees have remained at $315 for all players. This covers things like uniform, training gear, insurance, referee fees, medical equipment, player support, ground bookings, camps/transport.

If you wish to discuss support in your fees, please speak to a coach or the club’s General Manager Trent Pollard.

Fixtures

The Eagles Seniors will register teams in the Men’s Premier and 1st Division, and the Women’s Premier 15’s Division.

Fixtures are available for both Men’s Divisions: Premier Div and 1st Div.

Women’s Premier Fixture will be available soon.

Player Expectations

Our volunteers work extremely hard to make our club what it is. The club asks all players to read through the 2022 Player Expectations page – which is a list put together by the club’s previous leadership group.

Sponsorship

Our club would not exist without sponsors. If you own a business or know someone who may be interested in coming on board, reach out to General Manager Trent Pollard on 0425 326 789.

Player Sponsorships are available and are a great option for business to support individual players. Player Sponsorship costs $500 and grants their player free sponsorship and kit. In return, the sponsor will get social media and gameday recognition.

Sponsored players will have their Rego fees reimbursed once the business has paid an invoice. Club sponsorships are tax deductible.

Social events

The club social events calendar will be released shortly! We’re awaiting the Women’s Fixture and home ground information prior to locking our events in.

Covid-19

The club is adhering to ACT Gov and Brumbies guidelines surrounding Covid-19 protocols and have appointed a Covid-19 Officer in Rich Holder.

If you are unwell or show any symptoms of Covid-19, please do not attend Eagles training or events and notify a coach as soon as possible.
