Coming through the Eagles Colts pathway, Lachy’s rise to First Grade is a story of dedicated development and relentless hard work. He didn’t take shortcuts. He put in the time, turned up every Tuesday and Thursday, and let his performances do the talking — week in, week out.
Now a well-established First Grade player, Lachy brings something that every winning team needs. His versatility across lock and the backrow gives coaches options, but it’s the way he plays that sets him apart. Physical, tireless, and fearless — Lachy brings his trademark work rate and toughness every time he crosses that white line.
What makes Lachy’s milestone even more meaningful is what he gives beyond his own game. His consistency, resilience, and team-first attitude set standards for those around him. He inspires teammates through professionalism and effort on and off the field every single day, and he earns the respect of coaches, supporters, and the wider Eagles community in the process.

COLE TAYLOR — LETTING HIS FOOTY DO THE TALKING
Cole Taylor is a man of few words. But his footy? It speaks volumes.
A graduate of St Edmund’s College, Cole joined the Gungahlin Eagles in 2023 and hit the ground running. Two seasons and a premiership in Colts later, he made the step up to grade — and hasn’t looked back since. He has become a mainstay in the 2nd Grade backline, earning his place through consistent performances and the kind of attitude every coach loves.
A centre and outside back with a strong ball carry and hard-hitting defence, Cole doesn’t need to say much. He turns up, he works, and he delivers. Every week.
Fifty games in the red and black is a milestone well and truly earned, Cole. Congratulations — and all the best for your milestone game today.
