Tuggeranong Vikings Colts defeated the Gungahlin Eagles Colts Eagles 19 – 29 in Saturday’s Grand Final at Viking Park, a rematch of the Qualification Semi Final three weeks earlier.
The Colts reached the decider via the Preliminary Final, beating Uni-North Owls Colts Eagles 42 – 20 after going down Eagles 22 – 29 to Tuggeranong in the Qualification Semi Final. Tuggeranong went straight through to the Grand Final after winning that semi-final, setting up the rematch to decide the title.
Patrick Edwards captained the side on the day. It caps a strong finals campaign for the Colts, who fought back from the semi-final loss to earn their spot in the decider.
The Colts’ decider kicked off at 9:45am, ahead of the Eagles Women’s Premier XV Grand Final against the same opponent later that afternoon, which the Eagles Women won.
