A TRUE CLUBMAN
Since pulling on the Eagles jersey for the first time, Gimpy has done whatever the club has needed. 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, James has played across every level, stepping up or stepping in without a second thought. That kind of availability and selflessness over a sustained period is rare, and it is exactly what defines a true clubman.
He doesn’t play for the recognition. He plays because he loves this club and the people in it.
AN OLD-SCHOOL FRONT ROWER
James McGimpsey is old-school in the best possible sense of the word. He leads from the front, does the hard work that doesn’t always show up on the scoreboard, and brings both words of wisdom and deeds of inspiration to the younger players around him. Those players are better for having him in the group, and they know it.
One hundred games of that influence adds up to something far greater than the number itself.
