Premier Division Coaches: 2022 Expressions of Interest

The Gungahlin Eagles are calling for expressions of interest for the following club coaching positions in 2022:

  • Head Coach & Premier 1st Grade Coach
  • Premier 2nd Grade Coach
  • Premier Colts Coach
  • Rugby 7s Coach

The duties of the Head Coach & Premier Rugby 1st Grade Coach:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality Premier Rugby Program.
  • Attend to all training and matchday requirements of the club.
  • Understand and contribute to the core values of the club
  • Assist with Player Welfare and support program as required
  • Assist with Player Rehabilitation & Return to play program as required
  • Develop and implement Coaching programs to support Senior & Junior Coaches
  • Assist & support Brumbies Rugby in relation to player talent identification and development pathways.
  • Manage Player retention and recruitment requirements
  • Develop and implement individual player skills programs.
  • Support other coaching and volunteer roles within the club in multiple capacities

The duties of the Premier Rugby 2nd Grade & Colts Coaches:

  • Support Head Coach in delivering high-quality Rugby Program
  • Be available for at least 2 training sessions per week, and every gameday of your respective team
  • Understand and contribute to the club values
  • Assist with Coaching programs to support Eagles Senior & Junior Coaches
  • Assist with individual player skill development.
  • Have a positive impact on player welfare and rugby development
  • Support other coaching and volunteer roles within the club in multiple capacities
  • Contribute to player retention and recruitment

The duties of the Rugby 7s Coach:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality 7s Rugby Program for men & women to complement the Premier Rugby program
  • Support Head Coach in delivering high-quality Rugby Program
  • Attend to all 7s training and matchday requirements of the club.
  • Understand and contribute to the club values
  • Assist with individual player skill development.
  • Have a positive impact on player welfare and rugby development
  • Support other coaching and volunteer roles within the club in multiple capacities
  • Contribute to player retention and recruitment

Minimum Requirements:

It is expected all applicants have a Rugby Australia Level 2 coaching certification or have coached at an equivalent level.

All coaches will be required to have a Working with Vulnerable People card.
